Timurkhan Zhanabergenov

Timurkhan Zhanabergenov is the head of the International Affairs Department at the Kazakhstan National Academy of Sciences. Mr. Zhanabergenov has held numerous scientific positions during his career. His previous positions include: (1990 –1991) engineer at Ionosphere Institute, Almaty, Kazakhstan, (1991-1995) division secretary at LLP "Yrysty", (1996-1997) scientific researcher, Institute of Food production,

(1997-2002) scientific researcher, Institute of Fruit-growing and Viticulture, Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Mr. Zhanabergenov received a degree in physics from Novosibirsk State University in 1990 and a Ph.D. in food science and technology in 1998.
