keep our details in your files. BIODEGRADABLE OIL INTERCEPTOR - BOI
BOI - Biodegradable Oil Interceptor - is today's most innovative product
for efficient and comprehensive cleanup of spills at sea, in fresh
water or on land. BOI absorbs oils and refined hydrocarbons immediately
and forces them to stay put. It extracts oil from emulsions and keeps
emulsions from forming. It holds up to 10 times its own weight and
is fully hydrophobic. At Sea, BOI immediately binds with oil and then
floats, waiting to be swept up with nets or skimmers - no more sinking!
BOI and saturated BOI will remain floating for an indefinite length
of time. Waves just push it into convenient clumps. On beaches, BOI
keeps oil from migrating or leaching while awaiting pick-up. On land
the powder is just mixed with the oil and will absorb the spill immediately.
No special equipment is required to retrieve BOI after it has remediated
an oil spill. Water born spills can be retrieved with a commercial
debris retrieval boat, oil skimmer or pool skimmer. Land spills can
be retrieved with vacuum truck, street sweeper, or broom and shovel.
BOI can be used in water preparation and purification plants as well
as close to intake areas of desalination plants. BOI consists of a
natural ingredient, has a neutral odour and taste and is non-toxic.
Best of all, non-saturated BOI is non-toxic, biodegradable and harmless
to microorganisms and wildlife. Also BOI helps bacteria attach the
oil to enforce degradation. For disposal: Treated BOI has an extremely
low leachable value of only 0.0003 percentage. To the best of our
knowledge BOI is the only solution for oil spill remediation that
covers the problem from beginning to end. We know the limitation of
our system, on the other hand, we know what kind of pollution can
be avoided with our system. Prevention of damage caused by oil pollution
is by far cheaper than the remediation of the long-term consequences
of ongoing use of toxic dispersants to handle oil spills. It does

two American companies: Enzymes Plus which produces an enzyme which
eats oil and works much faster than microbes. It is friendly to the
environment and has been approved by the British Government for use

Helicopter which is used to spray the enzyme on oil spills. Having
worked for Amoco as a Vice President and Mobil as a General Counsel,

Europe, Russian and the Caspian for the Houston World Trade Center.
